A Journey of Identity, Purpose, and Faith

The Light Within is a faith-based healing journey designed for children who have endured deep emotional wounds, particularly those resulting from abuse within their own families. Created by the Save One Another Foundation (SOAF) in partnership with the Compassionate Hope Foundation (CHF) in Nakhon Nayok, this 10-month program (March–December 2025) walks alongside children who have been betrayed at their most intimate level. Together, we help them reclaim their identity, rebuild trust, and rediscover the light God placed within them.

🌱 Purpose

When a child is harmed by those entrusted with their protection, the wound cuts beyond the surface—it reaches the soul.

More than 90% of the children in this program have experienced abuse at the hands of a family member.

They are not simply survivors of hardship.
They are tender souls carrying the weight of betrayal.

Physical care can tend to the body.
But it cannot reach the silence.
It cannot lift the shame.
It cannot mend what was broken in the unseen places.

What these children need is not more explanations.
They need truth, spoken gently and wrapped in love:

That they are fearfully and wonderfully made.
That their story is still being written—beautifully.
That God has never looked away, and He never will.

The Light Within offers not lectures, but love.

Not correction, but connection.
Not control, but creative space—where children feel safe enough to hope again.

🎯 Program Objectives

To help children see themselves through God’s eyes: beloved, strong, and never forgotten.
To nurture emotional and spiritual resilience through faith, art, and storytelling.
To offer a safe, sacred environment where healing is possible and dignity can be restored.

👥 Target Group

Children ages 12–18 under the care of CHF Foundation, Nakhon Nayok—nearly all of whom have endured significant trauma and abuse, many within their own homes.

March – December 2025

1 healing session per month

Each session serves as a stepping-stone, forming a sacred rhythm of trust-building, restoration, and rediscovery of worth.

✨ Signature Activity: Mirror of Worth

In the opening session, children were asked one sacred question:

“What do you see when you look at yourself?”

Many began with words like “afraid,” “unworthy,” or “forgotten.”
But after reflecting on Psalm 139:14 and receiving Christ-centered affirmations, their responses changed:

“I am brave.”
“I am a child of God.”
“I am still becoming.”

Each child left with a personalized Mirror of Worth—a visual declaration of truth they now carry as a reminder of who they are in God’s eyes.
