Drawing Dreams, Healing Hearts – Session 1

Bringing Joy Through Art

📍 Compassionate Hope Foundation, Nakhon Nayok, Thailand

– November 16, 2024

The Save One Another Foundation (SOAF), under the visionary leadership of Dr. Gregg Tyler Milligan, successfully launched the first session of “Drawing Dreams, Healing Hearts” at the Compassionate Hope Foundation (CHF) in Nakhon Nayok. This inaugural event welcomed 21 children aged 8-15, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment to explore self-expression through art and discover hope through creativity.

Creating Art, Building Confidence

The session opened with an inspiring message from Dr. Milligan, delivered by Miss Isaree Thewase, SOAF’s Thailand Representative. She spoke about triumph, faith, and resilience, reinforcing SOAF’s commitment to empowering young minds through creativity.

The children participated in guided art activities led by experienced mentors, where they were encouraged to express their emotions, dreams, and aspirations. The transformative power of creative expression fostered:

🎨 Self-confidence – Encouraging each child to take pride in their artwork.
🤝 Teamwork – Strengthening bonds through collaborative art exercises.
💙 Healing – Using colors, textures, and imagination as tools for emotional release.

One particularly moving moment was when a shy 10-year-old girl, initially hesitant to participate, gained confidence and proudly showcased her painting—a vibrant image symbolizing hope and new beginnings.

A Collaborative Effort for Change

This session would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the Compassionate Hope Foundation. Their partnership played a key role in fostering resilience and healing within the community.

🎖️ Each child received a Certificate of Participation, recognizing their creativity, courage, and engagement.
🎖️ Mrs. Kittima Saengchot, Chairperson of CHF, was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation, acknowledging her steadfast partnership and dedication to SOAF’s mission.

This collaboration underscores the importance of community involvement in SOAF’s faith-driven initiatives, reinforcing that healing and transformation thrive through unity.

Looking Ahead

The success of this session marks the beginning of an ongoing series dedicated to empowering children through art therapy. SOAF remains committed to providing young individuals with:

✅ A faith-driven creative outlet for emotional healing.
✅ A supportive space where they can express their dreams.
✅ A community of encouragement, ensuring that hope and inspiration continue to guide them on their journey.
