Overview

The Thursday Bible Study Program for New Believers is a weekly discipleship initiative serving children and youth within the Phunsap Community.  Established to provide ongoing spiritual formation, worship, prayer, and relationship-centered Christian support, the program creates a consistent space where children can learn about God, grow in faith, and experience Christian community throughout the year.

Held each Thursday evening, the program combines Bible learning, worship, prayer, fellowship, and relational encouragement in a setting designed to be welcoming, accessible, and developmentally appropriate for young believers.

Rather than functioning solely as a classroom-style Bible study, the program emphasizes long-term discipleship, trusted relationships, spiritual growth, and consistent community presence.  Through weekly gatherings, children are encouraged to explore Scripture, ask questions, develop prayer practices, and gradually build confidence in their faith journey.

As children continue participating, many become increasingly comfortable praying aloud, engaging in discussion, memorizing Scripture, and supporting one another within the group.

Impact Summary

The Thursday Bible Study Program has become a consistent and valued part of community life for many children and youth within the Phunsap Community.

Weekly gatherings provide more than biblical instruction alone. They offer continuity, encouragement, friendship, and a dependable spiritual environment where children can experience care, belonging, and Christian fellowship through long-term relational presence.

Over time, children have demonstrated growing confidence in worship participation, greater willingness to engage in prayer, increased familiarity with Scripture, and a deeper understanding of foundational Christian beliefs. Several children have begun voluntarily participating in prayer, worship activities, and faith-based discussions.

The program also serves as an important bridge connecting families, Zion Sai Mai Church, Voices of Hope, and the broader ministry of SOAF within the community.

Scripture

"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
— Matthew 19:14 (NKJV)

Closing Reflection

The Thursday Bible Study Program reflects a simple but important belief: spiritual growth is often formed through faithful presence over time.

Week after week, children return to a familiar place where they are welcomed, encouraged, prayed for, and reminded that they are known and loved by God. Through Scripture, worship, friendship, and consistent discipleship, small seeds of faith continue to take root and grow.

While many moments may appear ordinary, it is often through these steady rhythms of learning, prayer, and community that lasting spiritual formation takes place. The program remains committed to walking alongside children and families with patience, consistency, and Christ-centered care as they continue their journey of faith.
